NICU Reunion

Today was the NICU Reunion. I am exhausted. I barely have the energy to think of anything to post. It was a pretty good time.

We started out, my mother, sister, niece, daughter, and I, at walmart, to get supplies for upcoming Elmo party. I was in that store just three days ago, and there were plenty of Elmo supplies with no sign of it being any differant in the future. I get there, they have changed everything! No elmo to be found anywhere! I was horrified! I already sent out the Elmo invitations, and I already got the Elmo "Happy Birthday" banner. Now suddenly, unexpectedly, no more Elmo!

With much deliberation, I finally made the desicion to do Winnie the Pooh instead. In spite of everyone expecting Elmo, I don't think anyone will notice anyway. *sigh*

We took my my mom out to the Texas Roadhouse, for lunch, she had never been, and we wanted to celebrate Mothers day this weekend instead of next, it just worked out better for all of us. We had a great time there, and a super hot waiter :)

The Reunion went well. I most went hoping that one particular person would show up, but she didn't and I didn't really think she would. They live a couple hours away, and have other children as well. I was surprised about how many people were there though. For some reason I didn't think it would be that many. We played some games and won some prizes. Had a little food. I ran into a girl there that I practicly grew up with, who I hadn't seen inyears. Her little baby just got out a few months ago.

The first thing I did when I stopped at walmart was loose her balloon, I tried to catch it, but as often the case the balloon was faster than me. I felt just like a sad little kid, watching it float away.

She did really well, didn't get cranky, even though she had no nap. She was just so excited to see everything going on. And now, I am wiped right out, and I still have some house work to do....

A mothers work is never done!
